AdventureIDE (Integrated Development Environment) is
a powerful, professional environment for creating and managing
Microsoft Flight Simulator adventures that you write. It is a self
contained application which provides all the tools and facilities
required to simplify the task of adventure creation. For programmers
out there, it is similar to the Microsoft Visual Studio or the Inprise
IDE development environments.
Until now, creating an adventure was an arduous
task. Your adventure source was generally only one file, you had to
edit it with notepad or some other text editor, you had to compile it
using dos command line compilers and you had to save it manually in an
appropriate place. This has all changed now with AdventureIDE.
Shareware
AdventureIDE is shareware. This version is not been crippled in
any way whatsoever, but it will only run for 30 days after which time
you will no longer be able to use it.
Features

commands contained within the editor. You can easily jump to any
